Today, while on Chapel Road in Wells, I had a surprising experience. I picked up a shocking 40 pounds of litter in just 3/4 of a mile on both sides of the road. It's astonishing how quickly litter accumulates, particularly on busy roads like that. During my clean-up, I found some intriguing items, like a fork, a hot water baseboard radiator, and even a glass bong. Of course, there were plenty of Dunkin Donuts cups, coffee cups, and beer cans.
I'm calling on all the litter warriors to join me in making a difference in our community. Let's clean up a different part of the road each week.
